There are still people who are selling everything they have in life to meet the cost and pay the smugglers to get in UK. or there are still people with out a specific future laying under your government. Why government does not focus on the immigration status and draw a clear line for those who are still waiting and those who are coming through illegal channels. i would really value a reply on this. thank you Tahera Nassrat Australia Show less »

In response to a yoosk question about Palestine, you said the UK opposed the use of violence as a way to end disputes. Then isn't the UK's use of violence in Iraq and Afghanistan sheer hypocrisy?

I am holder of  british passport with BNO status, I have three questions to ask foreign secretary. Firstly, Is FCO website suitable for BNO status to get information about travelling advice or living overseas? In the FCO website, is  "british nationals" this word the meaning of all categories of british status such as BC, BOC, BOTC, BS,BPP and BNO etc.. or only apply to british citizens?? Secondly, is BNO status a commonwealth citizen? Thirdly, we grew up under the sovereign of Great Britain before 1997, what time can we (BNO)  have the right of abode to the UK as british national or have any privileges for us??

I understand the FCO's notoriously unstable servers and systems have created UK visa crisis worldwide with almost no visas being issued since October 9th when the system went down. My girlfriend having worked damned hard to get a work permit for the UK is now stuck in the US while the biometric computer system writhes around in a fit.

Meanwhile the British consulates and embassies pull the shutters down and put their fingers in their ears. Apparently they are 'not authorised' to communicate with anyone. Not even on the FCO website to make people aware or manage expectations.

They are probably singing Bread of Heaven and rationing ammunition as I type.

    - Why is it that no communication channel has been provided and no announcements have been made?

People are suffering as a result of this and it is damaging British diplomatic relations around the globe.

    - How can we be trusted if we don't talk to people?

Is there a chance that the international banking crisis -so closely associated with the City of London- will result in damage to the Uk's reputation abroad?
