    There is considerable anxiety regarding the use of child labour in the production of items then purchased in "the West".  Children are portrayed as exploited, unrepresented, no inspections, no health and safety regulations or guidance.  Often these "factories" are run directly or at arms length by UK companies. 

    What role does the embassy play in ensuring that the UK is not de facto supporting the use of such economic drivers and ensuring that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are (a) acknowledged and (b) implemented.

Although the countries of South America have the same income levels as Jordan does or even less in some cases?

    I have been to England, and saw that many Latin Americans travel to UK seeking for jobs more than Jordanian citizens would do and do not even need a visa to enter the country.

    At the end I have to thank you for this oppurtunity and I must say that the British embassies do a great work in helping their visitors and issuing visas much quiocklier, efficiently and friendlier than any other country does, which is very highly admirable." Show less »
